Born with an unrelenting urge to express my almost preternatural creativity, I have spent my life funnelling my overflowing imagination into my many creations. What does that mean?
I makes stuff.
My brimming film portfolio showcases my imaginative sense of humour, bold visual aesthetic and quirky, original voice. Pushing the creative boundaries of well-known brands, my commercials and marketing videos have won international awards (two Cannes Dolphins, two Hermes, two Stevies); making me the go-to talent for high profile content development and production.
My eccentric short films and comedic music videos have aired on CBC and the Comedy Network, screened at festivals from New York to Milan, and gone viral to the masses. Invited to write and direct a retrospective short about Terry Fox as part of a permanent art installation by Douglas Coupland at the Terry Fox Plaza at BC Place in Vancouver, the film went on to win a coveted Stevie award.
Along with the magic of filmmaking, my other artistic passion has always been music. Over the years I've written and produced a number of albums that shift genres from rock and pop to electronic and hip-hop to original scores for short films, video series, and documentary features.
In 2000, I amazed enthusiastic audiences by co-creating and starring in the raucous full-length live musical comedy, “Circus!” which premiered at the Victoria Fringe Festival, and in 2004 won a Viewers Choice Award for Overall Creativity & Innovation.
From film to music to theatre to Christmas fruitcake, I tackle every creative endeavour with the same simple and focused approach:
How can I make this amazing?
With his unyielding drive for artistic expression, I continue my lifelong quest to make stuff.
